I love this place!! I always order the ceviche triple (fish, shrimp, and octopus). It's so good every single time! The hot sauce they make is very yummy and fresh. They have a few locations in queens but this one is my favorite. The service is always amazing and on point. I've had other dishes as well and they have been pretty yummy. The place is set up Wonderfully and the music they play is very goods

As an Ecuadorian, this restaurant never disappoints. We had dinner there last night Had the seco de Chivo and the chaulafan . Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned and just like I remember having it in Guayaquil. The service was excellent. Waiter was Personable and attentive . Always smiling ! If you're ever in the area and in the mood for authentic fresh Ecuadorian food , this place can't be beat. The portions sizes are enough to share or take home for leftovers . It was a great vibe as well

This is a good place for large parties! The plates are somewhat big so I recommend getting a bunch of dishes to share. The Seco de Chivo is the best thing there! The goat is so tender and the stew itself is flavorful with many spices! It was pretty big and I had to take it home. Honestly, it tasted pretty good the next day too!

Good Ecuadorian food. Llapingacho, seafood stew, and carne asado were done well. The servers were attentive and friendly.

I walked in here not expecting much because I feel as though Ecuadorian food is usually a hit or miss, but this place hit the SPOTTTT!! I loved their guatita and their drinks, there was a slight language barrier with the staff but overall pretty okay. The drinks were so good and I wish I had stayed longer because they were setting up for a dj set which would've been so much fun!

Walked into this spot on my birthday. It was the middle of the day with a party of three. Make sure you read the menu before you order. If you're a party of 3 you'll get an extra surcharge, usually it is a party of 5 or more. I ordered the skirt steak, and it was extremely huge. Half of it was made medium, even tho I asked for rare. It came with a side of fried banana. My party got the breaded shrimp and the mixto. I liked their plates too, of course I took a bite of each. I wasn't too fond of the breaded shrimp. :::BATHROOM ALERT:: I'm not sure who, but someone had blood all in the stall, but it was gross. You have to walk down a lot of stairs to get to the bathroom. If you are drinking and use those stairs, it will be deadly,I only had 1 drink. They lost half a star due to the bathroom conditions, and the restaurant wasn't packed. I ordered a frozen mojito w/ coconut. For some reason, the server didn't ask me or my mother for a second one. But the other person with us they had their drinks refilled without even asking. They lost half a star, making it 4 stars because of the bill. When the bill came, they took 18% tip which is included. We were like thats cool so we don't have to sit here and do math. They we paid and they turned the apple screen around to ask for more tip. I said why are you asking for more when we gave you like $30 for a tip? the server goes oh in case you want to give extra, my mother didn't. Finally, would I come back? I most likely would not. The prices were good though, I just didn't like the whole tip exchange or the dirty bathroom.

As someone who's eaten lots of Ecuadorian food, Barzola is a super authentic restaurant. The food tastes as good as homemade cooking. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a modern appearance. You would expect a restaurant with such a modern appearance to lean heavily on fusion-type cuisine, but Barzola delivers on the traditional dishes like Ayacas and Fritadas. Both of these dishes are superb, and the restaurant does not skip on the portions. With the main course, there's generally enough food to take home. I would definitely return!

I thought it was good. I'm visiting from LA and we don't have many Ecuadorian restaurants in town so I figured we would check one out in New York City, this location is specifically in Queens, New York. We ordered a couple appetizers an Humita and Caldo de Bola. Humita is kind of like a corn tamale and this one had cheese inside. They had two kinds, Sal(savory) or Sweet. My boyfriend said to get the salty one, so we ordered that but I kinda wish we got the sweet one. I'll be honest kind of bland. My boyfriend thought we were supposed to add a sauce to it. Caldo de bola is like a plantain soup (caldo) made with a fatty beef broth. It has vegetables, potatoes, meat and a beef stuffed plantain ball inside (bola) it also came with a side of white rice which I didn't expect, so that made me was happy. I also ordered an Ecuadorian Apple soda called Manzana. Overall we spent over $30 with tip, a little pricey but where else are you going to try Ecuadorian food. Service was fine, we got seated right away by the window. They also brought the check right away when we asked. They had nice restrooms. Overall great experience.
